The John A. Martin Primary Health Care Center is a unique medical center providing all types of family medical care including prenatal care. As a primary care center, we can help guide you through most, if not all, of your medical decisions. Dr. McElmurray was our first Medical Director and has been seeing patients here since we opened our doors in 1992. Dr. Shaffer has now joined us in seeing patients and serving as our current Medical Director. Together, our physicians, nurse practitioner, nurses, medical assistants, health educator, and business office staff will work with you to achieve increased understanding of your physical and emotional needs. We want to be your partner in helping you achieve better health. If you should need more specialized care, a referral to an appropriate physician or other health professional will be made. Patients of the Martin Center have the advantage of also being seen by health professions students and residents of many health professions. Our motto is “Caring Today, Training for Tomorrow.”
We provide this website to serve as a source of information for both current and new patients. In addition, Webview allows our current patients to securely access their own medical information from anywhere you have internet access. If you are not yet signed up for the Webview, stop by our office and talk with our Business Office Staff.
As of December 2017, John A. Martin Primary Health Care has been awarded Patient-Centered Medical Home Level 3 recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
