We provide well child visits from two weeks of life to eighteen years old. This includes vision exams as well as age-appropriate laboratory testing. We are able to provide vaccines free of charge for those who are uninsured or underinsured through the Vaccines for Children program in association with DHEC.
Physicals exams are provided for those 18 years and older. We work with our female patients to assure that breast exams and PAP smears are completed on a regular basis. We are excited to assist you with new job or college physicals. We work in conjunction with outside laboratories to assure that correct testing is completed.
Our population of older patients is continuously growing and we are honored to provide gentle and kind care. We provide appropriate clinical assessments, testing, and medications for this population. We make sure that they receive important vaccinations such as the flu and pneumonia vaccines at appropriate intervals. We are able to refer to home health and hospice organizations who may assist our patients and provide their families with respite care when needed.
We have a significant population of hypertensive and diabetic patients that we closely monitor and work with to help them improve their health. We provide blood pressure checks and monitor appropriate blood work. We provide teaching on diagnosis, laboratory results, and medications. We work with you to set self-management goals and to provide appropriate nutritional and physical activity counseling.
We provide care for many asthma patients. Our providers and clinical staff work with pharmacies to assure you are receiving the correct medications when you need them. We offer smoking cessation counseling as well as assistance in self-management goals. We provide immunizations and appropriate laboratory testing to decrease the incidence of asthma exacerbation. Referrals to specialists are also initiated when appropriate.
Our providers assess and collaborate with patients in order to manage chronic pain. Our patients who need continued management with controlled substances are required to sign our Controlled Substance Contract and come in to the office to pick up their prescriptions. We provide random pill counts, urine drug screens and referrals to our in-house social worker or to a specialized pain management clinic.
